The line of Terminal Servers is formed by converters of TCP/IP protocol to serial. They have four serial communication interfaces, RS-232C/485/422 standard, which can be set by software, where it is possible to simultaneously monitor up to four equipments in four different sockets, performing individual setup of serial interfaces assigned to the desired socket.
In addition, the Terminal Server (TS) has 6 digital inputs, opto-isolated, which can be used as a micro remote of data acquisition, sending status signals to be monitored by the supervision system, such as opening of measuring cubicle door, presence sensors or any other digital input one wishes to monitor.
To meet the different needs of connection, Ecil's TS line has different models, with communication ports adequate to each application. The table below specifies the models and their connection characteristics.
CHARACTERISTICS:
• Full Range (85 ~ 250) Vac/Vdc power source;
• Six opto-coupled digital inputs;
• Update of internal clock by SNTP;
• Ethernet 10/100BASE-TX or 100BASE-FX (depending on the model);
• Fixing in DIN rail (industrial standard);
• Supports transmission rates in 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps at TP port;
• Optical transmission of multimode type;
• MDI/MDI-X auto-negotiation function at TP port;
• Auto-negotiation function at TP port;
• Link fault pass through function;
• Manual settings for TP port to be able to support connection with equipments that do not have auto- negotiation function;
• Transparent for 802.1Q VLAN tagged packets.
