Ecil Informatica concluded in December 2009, two digital recorders disturbance installation (OSC-1000 family), in Industrial Zone Substation, belonging to Light.
These equipments will enable Light, to supervise and monitor the transmission lines, as well as the equipments that are interconnected to the digital recorder disturbance, providing the information accurately, helping e reducing the diagnostic time and re-establishing the system in case of failure.

The Produtividade e Qualidade Cesp Premium is a traditional event done every two years in Cesp, where the company employees presents relevant works producted in recent years. There are two categories to compete: MANAGEMENT and TECHNOLOGY. There is a bitter dispute within the company, and the winner is announced in a formal dinner, led by the company president. This year 95 works and 197 authors were entered. Mr. Jorge Oura, who managed P&D work desenvolved by Ecil Informática, ran along with 5 CESP colleagues, with the paper entitled ”Auto Analyze and Collect Oscillography System ”, winning the category prize.

From 24 to 27 November, Ecil Informática was present at the International Electric Sector Tradeshow (FISE 2009), which happened in Medelín – Colombia. Represented by our Export Manager Ricardo Serra and our distributor Digitron, responsible for representing the country.

Ecil Informática presented at the booth, electronic meters of power, water and gas, and the connectivity for automation systems line. “Participate in an event of this size, directed to the power area, like this has happened in Colombia, which has demonstrated a great development in the power sector, is an important step for Ecil Informática, that are gaining its place in the Latin America market”, explains the manager Ricardo Serra.

It happened in Recife(Pernambuco) the Twentieth Power Production and Transmission National Seminary – SNPTEE, between 22 and 25 November. Ecil Informática was present, presenting 4 technical papers, including “Automated pre-analysis of Disturbance Relay Protection of Generating Units”, and as speakers Jorge Oura and Policarpo Uliana; “Integration System of Protective Devices and Registration (ESIP): Concept, Architecture and Deployments”, presented by Luis Fernando Passos and Emilio Cesar Neves; “ Application of Standard IEC 61850 Systems of Disturbance” presented by João Ricardo Duran and Stefano Gualtieri; “Telesupervision of Teleprotection: Architecture and Implementation in Chesf”, presented by Alexandre Magno and Luis Fernando Passos.

Beyond the papers apresentantion, Ecil Informática was present in ExpoSNPTEE, with a booth, where they were exposed to its product line, highlighted with having the pre-launch of the new OSC family.

The 10 th Expo Congreso Nacional de La Construcción Eléctrica, happened from 7 to 9 November, in Guadalajara – Mexico. Ecil Informática was represented by its Export Manager Ricardo Serra, who gave a lecture with the theme: “Smart Grid – Smart Power Meters”, addressing the new market trends for the power distribution sector.

Ecil Informática will be present at the XX Power Transmission and Production National Seminary – SNPTEE, which will realized between 22 to November 25, 2009, in Recife, Pernambuco, capital that houses the headquarters of the Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco(Chesf), event coordinator. Hosted by the Cigré-Brasil, the Seminary takes place every two years and is the most important Power sector event in Latin America.

This year we will present 04 technical works, conducted by Ecil Informática, that demosntate the high technical level of our employees.

Ecil Informática was in the sixth anual edition of the Metering Latin America, held in São Paulo, at the Transamerica Hotel, between 19 to 21  October  2009.

The main objective of the event was to promote the electronic smart meter, fully adhere to the concept of smart grid. According to the engineer Carlos Eduardo Affonso, it was possible to share the company experience about the smart grid concept, based in ours meters that use wireless ZigBee technology. Ecil's booth was much visited, and was presented all the meters family features, including wireless, beyond a demonstration of pre-paid power measure, using the existing structure of pre-paid system for mobiles in Brazil.

The e-SIP, developed by Ecil Informática, is a complete solution for energy transmitting, for the protection system management and substation oscillography.

The e-SIP integrates all relays informations and other IEDs, regardless of the equipment manufacturer.

All activities, which previously only been possible be made locally, with e-SIP can be made remotely, trough a Web platform, with all necessary network security for this kind of application. The e-SIP was developed in a open platform, compliant with IEC-61850, being easy to customize and, therefore suitable for any application.

The article is about “Reliability and Intelligence - Electronic Components allows the development of a new generation of Energy Meters, which provides several new features, besides higher precision and availability”.

Ecil Informatica attended the eighth Electrical System Automation Symposium – VIII SIMPASE, with its managers Almir Santinon and Clovis Paulino, which was held within August 09th and 14th, at Rio de Janeiro.

Since its first edition in 1992, SIMPASE has become a traditional event in the sector. SIMPASE has been one of the cornerstones for the exchange of information on the electric sector. The event enables the search for higher quality, productivity, and consequently, competitiveness and developing the national energy sector.

Within August 10th and 18th, the customer CEEEP – ISA GROUP inspected the stages 5 and 7 of SICAR project - Integrated System for Automatic Collection of Records. This project is being deploying over 58 substations and its basic functionally is the whole integration of the protection and fault record systems, from CETEEP, including the implementation of a IEC-61850 network.

The inspection was in our facilities and also was supervised for the company Sistema PRI, which is specialized in supervision of equipments functionality and field installation. More than 300 items of the project were inspected and all of them have been approved.

Congratulations for all! This is more one step of this project completed with success!

In September 20 th , Ecil Informatica will attend the 17 th Pão de Açúcar Marathon. Our teams of 2 and 4 runners will complete the distance of 42.195 meters. The begin will be at Av. Pedro Álvares Cabral, closed to the Obelisco monument, at Ibirapuera.

Eletropaulo has attended the training about IEC-61850 Ruggedcom Switches, during August 5th to 7th.Our instructor, eng. Robson Silva, approached typical applications regarding IEC61850 standard, Virtual LAN setups, and ring-based architecture.
This training is part of a project that Ecil Informatica is involved, where an amount of 43 switches are being implemented. Now, Eletropaulo's engineers are able to install and manage this platform.

Ecil Informática performed a new training about oscilography in 23rd and 24th of July to Eletronorte staff. (Pará Region).  This training was about four new substations to Vale, trough our partner Telvent, who is the integrator of the whole project.  Our digital fault recorders, OSC1000, are installed at substations Carajás, Mineiradora Onça Puma (MOP) and "Integradora".  The training was attended for 18 engineers from  Eletronorte and another one from Vale.

In July Ecil Informatica held the training of the Paging System platform, which will be implemented at Vila Sonia courtyard of São Paulo Subway. The paging system is a full audio platform, with innovative features, as the deployment of a Cobranet network, for digital audio traffic. This system enables sending corporate messages, warnings and music, for each zone, with specific configurations and integrated to Siemens IP voice platform. The setting and managing interface of the project is WEB based, with full functionalities control. Following the same characteristic of our products, this Paging System is based on open architecture and it will be integrated to the safety infrastructure of São Paulo Subway, and other stations of yellow line as well.

This project is result of a partnership between Siemens Enterprise Communications and Ecil Informatica. We want to thank the team involved in this project and also the friends from Eletroequip.

Ecil Informática has extended its product line for energy distribution. It's a pleasure to announce our new switchgear remotely commanded, from Tavrida Electric. The product is available for 15kV and 27kV, for currents up to 630A, and 16kA for interruption capacity. Another great feature of this switchgear is its weight, only 65kg. The operation is based on magnetic actuator and vacuum insulation. Its life cycle is design for 30.000 operations.
The controller works with 24V~60Vdc or 110V to 220V AC/DC, which supports up to 100 operation cycles per hour.
These features become this switchgear suitable for overhead energy distribution. Kema Quality B.V. Laboratory certifies all products from Tavrida Electric.

Ecil Informática and Logytec, its representative in Peru , were present at the International Congress on Energy that took place from June 24- 25 in Lima , Peru .

Since 2007, Logytec has commercialized Ecil products and solutions solely for Peru . Working in the sector for more than 20 years, the main Logytec customers are companies in charge of generating, transmitting and distributing Electric Power.

In addition to being present with a stand, the director-general of Ecil Informatica , Celso Lellis, gave a lecture on the SICAR system.

Ecil Informática was present to the XIII ERIAC - Cigré’s Ibero-American Thirteenth Regional Meeting, occurred this year in Puerto Iguazú, in Argentina, between the 24th. and the 28th. of May, 2009.
This event’s main purpose is to promote the exchange between the experts and the technicians of the electrical segment from Ibero-American countries, thus inclusively allowing the formation of joint working groups to discuss common issues and to exchange information.

As per the Manager Almir Santinon, by means of the lectures given by Ecil and the booth containing the leading products for Energy segment, the participants could observe that Ecil stands at the level of the best companies for developing products and solutions to the energy market in Latin America.

On the second fortnight of June, Ecil Informática, under the supervision of the engineer Rodolfo Genari, activated 10 sub-stations of SICAR project for the client CTEEP.
This project aims at, in addition to allowing a full access to the protective devices and digital recorders of disturbance, providing a basic unified system that enables the management and integration of all processes existent on a substation.

Until July 23rd. this year we expect to have 17 substations of CTEESP already integrated. This project shall contemplate the integration of 58 substations until December 31, 2009.

Ecil Informática has developed a set of solutions towards the applications of connectivity on industrial environments. This line of products has a strong adhesion to the environment’s specific needs with a high index of electromagnetic interferences and electrical disturbances, as well as severe environmental conditions of temperature and humidity. Its main features are: AC/DC Full Range feed with protection against outbreaks of tension, mounting on DIN rail, no moving parts, high robustness and assembly easiness.

These equipments convert electrical signals into optical ones, being compatible with the protocols RS232C/RS485/RS422 and Ethernet. Its differentiation is the modular design, which allows installation in panels where all the cabling can be properly directed to their respective rails. The AS-0001 (Amplifier of signs), CM-1100 (Media Converter), CO-2410 (Serial Optical Converter), Terminal Server and MOM-232 (serial-optical converter) make part of this family.

Ecil informática delivered in the month of June the stages 1 and 2 of the Supervision TV system of the Telecommunications and TV Projection system for the client Chesf, contemplating 40 new sub-stations.
This project aims at allowing the supervision and integration of Chesf’s operational status, faults and events of the Telecommunications and Protection system.
With this, there were 52 substations in the whole which are served by the project, expected to total 92 substations until February, 2010.

In the beginning of April, the Ecil Informática, under the supervision of engineer Rubens Vallieri Jr., delivered one more part of VITAL called-project, implemented at CHESF – Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco, and totaling 18 sub-stations contemplated by the project, thus allowing on these places the whole information on the installed equipment’s programming and parameterization management, so making it possible to fully control the protective assets and record of transmitting.

The XIII ERIAC – Cigré’s Ibero-American Thirteenth Regional Meeting shall take place this year in Puerto Iguazú, in Argentina, from the 24th. to the 28th. of May, 2009. Ecil Informática shall participate in the event, with the presentation of three technical studies, including two technical, being two technical sessions of lectures and one exhibition of poster, besides a booth for demonstration of equipment and solutions.
